How to convert a photo to black and white?
Select your file and it is converted to grayscale instantly using perceptual weights — no settings needed.
How is grayscale conversion done?
The tool blends R, G, and B channels using perceptual weights based on human vision sensitivity to produce a natural black-and-white image.
Is this the same as converting to black and white in Photoshop or Lightroom?
Similar — all use luminosity-weighted blending. Photoshop's Black & White adjustment layer adds per-channel sliders for more control; this tool applies a standard one-click perceptual conversion.
