How do I get a matte finish on a photo?
Select your file for the matte finish, then set Intensity anywhere from bare original to fully flat editorial.
What does the Matte Filter do?
It flattens contrast from the bottom up — deep blacks become charcoal — with slightly warm muted tones and fine grain.
How is this different from lowering contrast?
Plain contrast reduction compresses both ends. Matte anchors highlights and lifts mainly the shadows for that flat editorial look.
