How do I fit a photo to a different aspect ratio without cropping it?

Enter Target Width and Target Height in pixels. Your whole photo is scaled proportionally and centered over an enlarged, blurred copy that fills the canvas. Foreground Scale adds more surrounding space.

What dimensions should I use?

Try 1080 × 1080 for a square, 1920 × 1080 for widescreen, 1080 × 1920 for a vertical story, or 1080 × 1350 for a portrait post. Target Width and Target Height always control the canvas size, with each dimension limited to 1–4000 pixels.

Does this stretch or crop my photo?

The foreground keeps its original proportions and stays fully inside the canvas. Only the enlarged background copy is cropped to fill the canvas.

Can I change the blurred background?

Yes. Increase Background Blur for a softer background, or lower it for more detail. Background Brightness darkens or brightens the background without changing the foreground photo.

What happens to transparent images?

The tool creates a filled canvas. Transparent parts of the foreground reveal the background, and transparent areas of the background reveal a black backing. The exported layout is opaque.
