What you can expect

Make a Mexican passport photo from any picture. AI finds your head, crops a 35x45 mm photo at 827x1063 pixels with the head sized to common ICAO-style limits, and replaces the background with plain white. Toggle background replacement off to keep your original background, or fine-tune the head size.

Frequently asked questions

What size is a Mexican passport photo?
35x45 mm. This tool exports 827x1063 pixels, which prints at 600 DPI. Some SRE offices take your photo on site, so check before printing.
How big should my head be?
Aim for a head about 71–80% of the 45 mm height (32–36 mm). The tool sizes it to 75% by default; adjust with the head size slider.
What background does Mexico require?
A plain white background, front-facing, colour photo with no retouching. Keep the background toggle on to replace yours with white automatically.
Can I wear glasses or a hat?
No. Glasses, hats and caps are not allowed. Keep a neutral expression with your mouth closed.
How recent must the photo be?
Mexican rules require a photo taken within the last 30 days, so use a fresh picture.
What file formats can I export?
You can export as PNG, JPEG, WebP, TIFF, BMP, or HEIC.
Is this tool free to use?
Yes — completely free, no account needed. Your images are processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded to a server. Downloads have no watermarks.
